The climb up Mt. Vision is a unique and challenging one, positioned within the beautiful setting of Point Reyes National Seashore in Marin County. This ride is intriguingly difficult to locate since there are no signs pointing you to the starting line, embedding an element of adventure right from the outset. The road conditions in the first mile might test your resolve with rough patches, but it's all part of the experience that makes reaching the top all the more rewarding. The climb stretches for about 7 km, with an average grade that can deceive; it looks easier than it actually is. Elevating 365 meters through this distance, riders are treated to winding switchbacks and gradients fluctuating between 9-11%. Although the climb itself might be considered moderate over its 3-mile length, its remote nature and the chance to ride in such a pristine environment make it a must-try route for cyclists looking for something out of the ordinary in Northern California.
